About The Course
The Texas Teen Drivers Education course has been approved by the Department of Public Safety. A minimum of 46 hours of actual instruction time is required in order to complete this course. 32 of these hours are to be completed online with a parent's guidance and cannot be fulfilled in less than 20 calendar days. 14 of these hours involve behind-the-wheel training. These 14 hours cannot be completed in less than 14 calendar days. A student cannot receive more than two hours of instruction in one day. After completing the Texas Teen Drivers Education course, you might qualify for a discount from your insurance company. In Texas, insurance companies are not required to provide discounts, but many of them do. The amount discounted as well as the qualifications are completely up to the insurance company's discretion. Check with your insurance company to see if you qualify. You will receive the following when you take the Texas Teen Drivers Education course:
